Hey Soul Family,
This week's episode is titled "Post Punk or Post Disco?" Checking out the (mostly) early 80s phenomenon of very danceable tracks that both discoey and punky. Many of the tracks that I am playing tonight are also featured on comps put out by Strut or Soul Jazz so thats a good place to start if you want to learn more about these sounds. Also in the mix are some of my favorite classics and check out current local ATL act Roman Photos. They are a relatively young band but stay true to many of the sounds featured on the show tonight. They are my favorite local band right now and I believe there are some free downloads on their blog.

1) Roman Photos - Into the Night
2) Arthur Russle - See Through (Walter Gibbons mix)
3) Liquid Liquid - Optimo
4) ESG - Tiny Sticks
5) Valentine - Tina are You Ready? (instrumental)
6) Kid Creole and The Coconuts - I'm Corrupt (Idjut Boys edit)

7) Gichy Dan's Beachwood #9 - On A Day Like Today (Todd Terje's Friendly Children edit)
8) The Necessaries - State of Art
9) Modern Romance - Salsa Beat
10) Lola - Wax the Van (Jon's Dub)

11) David Gamson - No Turn on Red (Fat Camp Version)
12) Material with Nona Hendryx - Bustin Out (Rub 'n'Tug edit)
13) Was (Not Was) - Tell Me That I'm Dreaming (Greg Wilson edit)
